About The Position

As a Development Lead Engineer, you will lead and actively participate in product design, development, introduction, and/or supporting activities across multiple technical disciplines. You will maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control them. This role involves conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements, providing power engineering support for customers and field application engineers, and serving as a technical lead on complex projects. You will also model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles, embracing the mindset of Understand. Create. Simplify. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.
  • Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional product development teams.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SEL products.
  • Experience in distribution and reclosing.
