About The Position

The Family Resource Networking is seeking a qualified Development/Fundraising Intern for immediate hire in 2024 to work within and contribute to their Development team. The intern will receive support from the Special Events Manager to achieve internship goals and support the organization. Although the title is Intern, the individual will be an integral part of the team, working alongside other Development team members.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college or university
  • Accounting or Finance major
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creativity
  • Microsoft Excel competence
  • Effective research skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and implementation of 2024 Special Events by securing sponsorships and donations for each event
  • Research and assist with new sponsor leads and grant applications
  • Draft acknowledge letters in response to donations
  • Assist Special Events Manager day of event
  • Perform other ad hoc fundraising/event planning duties to gain practical on the job experience
