About The Position

Marin Community Clinics (MCC) is a multi-clinic network providing integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty, and referral services to nearly 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. Founded in 1972, MCC is a Federally Qualified Health Center whose mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all. The Development & Events Manager advances MCC’s mission by driving donor engagement, fundraising events, and development initiatives. The role manages donor relations, maintains data integrity in Bloomerang, leads fundraising events, and supports organizational strategies that sustain and grow MCC’s community impact. Working closely with the Public Affairs & Development Director and the Director of Marketing & Communications, the manager helps create a positive donor experience, advance fundraising initiatives, and cultivate community partnerships that strengthen MCC’s financial sustainability and support its continued growth.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
Strong understanding of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship, and event management.
Experience with Bloomerang or a similar CRM for donor database management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft donor messages and impact stories.
Strong organization, attention to detail, project management, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Professionalism, integrity, and a passion for MCC’s mission of expanding healthcare access for underserved communities.
Fulfill immunization and fit-for-duty regulatory requirements.
Able to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and on a computer.
Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field is desired; relevant experience may be considered in place of education.

Responsibilities

Manage donor stewardship, including timely acknowledgments and impact reporting, to cultivate long-term relationships.
Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain donors through personalized outreach and engagement opportunities.
Collaborate with leadership and the Board on major gifts, corporate partnerships, and planned giving.
Oversee fundraising events, including the Annual Summer Solstice Celebration, Legacy & Impact Luncheon, Comedy Night, and other events.
Administer Bloomerang and maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records, contribution data, and reports.
Analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies, assess campaign effectiveness, and support leadership and Board reporting.
Assist with content for donor communications, impact reports, and digital and print materials in support of MCC’s branding and storytelling.
Align development activities with MCC’s Strategic Plan and Development Department goals.
Assist in developing and maintaining Development Department policies and procedures.
Assist with budget planning for fundraising campaigns and events to maximize return on investment.
