About The Position

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) is seeking an organized, creative, and community-minded Development & Events Coordinator to help bring fundraising events to life, build lasting donor relationships, and strengthen the community support that makes our lifesaving work possible. Working alongside our Development Director, you'll play a key role in coordinating engaging events, supporting fundraising initiatives, and ensuring donors and community partners feel valued. This is an opportunity to combine your organizational talents, relationship-building skills, and passion for making a difference.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of nonprofit experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Financial tracking skills
  • Accurate recordkeeping skills
  • A valid Washington State driver's license (or ability to obtain one)
  • Ability to pass a Washington State Patrol background check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous fundraising experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fundraising and community events, from planning and logistics to execution and follow-up.
  • Engage donors, sponsors, vendors, and community partners through exceptional service and thoughtful communication.
  • Assist with campaigns, sponsorship outreach, donor recognition, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, monitor event budgets, track financial results, and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate event volunteers and work across teams to create welcoming, successful experiences.
  • Partner on event promotions and represent WVHS professionally throughout the community.
