Development Engineering Manager
About The Position
The Development Engineering Manager leverages expertise in design, engineering, and process development to contribute to business success; contributing to business strategy, developing differentiated capabilities, serving customers, and improving efficiency. Key Responsibilities Drives execution of projects to support development goals. Drives technical growth of associates through guidance, knowledge sharing, and fostering collaboration. Shares discoveries, improvements, and other ideas to benefit engineering team and business. Drives new process technologies and enhancements to expand our capabilities, aligned with market needs. Creates automation solutions to meet the capacity, precision, and efficiency needs, cost effectively either on their own or through collaboration and support of team members. Performance Accountabilities Accountable for creating extraordinary customer experiences. Accountable for supporting new project revenue goal. Accountable to support the annual operating cost savings goal through automation of processes. Accountable for manufacturing transfer of capable, repeatable processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
- Process design experience in a medical device environment
- Minimum of 3 years of management/leadership experience required.
- Design for manufacturability experience required.
- Good PC skills in CAD, ERP system(s), Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with ISO13485 or GMP compliance in a medical manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Automation experience
- Rotary converting experience
- Sheet converting experience
- Lean/Six Sigma training preferred.
