About The Position

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is actively seeking a dedicated Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator to assist with overseeing and coordinating various fundraising efforts and maintain donor relationships. This role is essential to the city, involving project management, collaboration with community agencies, maintaining accurate records in the donor database, and generating reports. The position requires active communication with donors and adaptability to new and unexpected challenges, including providing administrative and operational support for general projects assigned by leadership and aiding all divisions within the department as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Communication, Social Services, Youth Development, Education, business, or related field
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in administrative, donor relations, or non-profit development settings
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Dependability
  • Must have a current and valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Communication, Social Services, Youth Development, Education, business, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in youth development management
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • May be requested to obtain a Class "B" driver's license with passenger endorsement
