About The Position

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position oversees and distributes between six - ten million+ dollars annually. This includes ensuring donor intent of all dollars and meeting the needs of the healthcare system as donor dollars are invested. This position also manages all funding requests from intake, to distributions to evaluation. Development manager will supervise support staff. This position also manages special projects; carries out fundraising priorities in the healthcare system. Supports fundraising strategies and methods or activities to ensure proper acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship of donors. Participates in developing campaign materials, case statements, and brochures. Builds working relationships and serves as a department liaison to other departments and other key personnel to achieve successful fundraising; and nurtures a culture of philanthropic support.

  • Knowledge of fundraising/development concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques.
  • Familiarity with electronic donor record keeping and integration systems, working knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser Edge Software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with healthcare system departments to coordinate and allocate appropriate use of donor funds to be utilized effectively and efficiently within the hospital which ensures donor and hospital satisfaction.
