The Development Coordinator plays a foundational role on the National Council’s growing Philanthropy team, providing the data, project management, and programmatic support that powers donor engagement and fundraising efforts across the organization. This is the first coordinator-level hire supporting the two-person Philanthropy function, so in the near term the role will be focused primarily on donor data and systems with real opportunity to grow into more individualized, externally-facing stewardship work as the donor database and program mature. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable learning and adapting to new systems and platforms, translating data into insights, and managing several recurring projects at once. We’re looking for someone who anticipates needs and proposes solutions rather than waiting for explicit direction, and who is excited to grow within a fast-building development function. Given this role’s close proximity to senior leadership, comfort preparing clear, polished communications for executive-level audiences is important from day one.
