MCD's team of development professionals works to build upon donor support and align with Stanford University's strategic vision, particularly its new institutional fundraising initiative. Every member of the MCD team plays a crucial role in inspiring donors and ensuring a positive philanthropic experience. This role, reporting to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services on the Infrastructure team at MCD, supports the Major Gifts fundraising programs for fundraisers in Biomedical Discovery and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. These fundraisers focus on specific departments and divisions within the School of Medicine. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys a collaborative, supportive, fast-paced, and engaging environment that offers professional growth. The Development Coordinator will interact with frontline fundraising staff, development officers, internal partners, donors, volunteers, and university staff to cultivate and maintain relationships. Key attributes for success include patience, flexibility, sharp attention to detail, professionalism, strong prioritization skills, and tact and discretion. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, with the primary work location in Redwood City, CA, and the option to telecommute two to three days per week. Occasional event staffing, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
