About The Position

The Development & Marketing Coordinator provides operational and administrative coordination that supports fundraising, donor stewardship, and Development team effectiveness. This position manages key Development processes, including gift processing, donor information and reporting, stewardship coordination, donor engagement support, and special projects. The Coordinator also provides administrative and operational support to the Marketing and Communications team, including production coordination, vendor management, budget tracking, and marketing collateral management. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Development and works collaboratively with Development, Marketing and Communications, and other organizational leaders to advance fundraising and communication priorities. The Coordinator may interact with donors, prospects, volunteers, Board members and their spouses, and other stakeholders, representing One More Child with professionalism, responsiveness, and a high level of service.

Requirements

  • Two years of college or university education and/or equivalent professional work experience.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative, operations, customer service, development, marketing, or related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and the ability to learn and effectively use CRM and database systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with donors, volunteers, vendors, Board members, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and maintaining confidentiality when handling donor and organizational information.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to pursue self-directed learning to expand knowledge and skills in fundraising, donor stewardship, marketing, and related areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or nonprofit operations.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating fundraising, donor stewardship, or other mission-focused events.
  • Experience working with donor databases or CRM systems, preferably Salesforce or a similar platform.
  • Experience coordinating marketing, communications, print production, vendors, or related projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, or administrative processes in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage gift processing and related administrative functions, including processing one-time gifts, maintaining accurate donor records, responding to donor inquiries, and coordinating timely gift acknowledgements and follow-up with Development team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely donor information and records in organizational databases and CRM systems, including Salesforce and OneCause, and prepare and distribute reports that support effective Development operations and donor information management.
  • Provide responsive administrative and logistical support to the Executive Director of Development and the Development team, including coordinating mailing lists, mailings, invitations, scheduling, records, supplies, and other operational needs.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Development team’s stewardship calendar, ensuring donor communications, acknowledgements, events, and other engagement activities are planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Support the planning and execution of donor engagement activities and Development events, including preparing collateral materials, tour materials, invitations, and other resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Development processes, donor experience, and long-term donor engagement and retention.
  • Support the Director of Marketing with the planning, coordination, and timely production of marketing and communications materials, including managing print and production vendors, obtaining quotes, placing orders, coordinating projects, and facilitating delivery.
  • Coordinate marketing-related invoicing and payment processes and monitor assigned communications and program-area budgets to ensure accurate, timely, and responsible use of resources.
  • Maintain marketing collateral inventory and coordinate replenishment to ensure frequently used materials are available as needed.
  • Coordinate special projects and initiatives that support Development and Marketing priorities, ensuring appropriate scheduling, communication, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Maintain organized inventories, records, calendars, and other administrative systems necessary to support efficient team operations.
  • Provide additional administrative and project support as needed to advance Development and Marketing objectives.
  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement in support of organizational fundraising, donor engagement, and communications goals.
  • Collaborate effectively across Development, Marketing, and other organizational teams to support shared priorities and ensure a high-quality experience for donors and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
