About The Position

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting an Intermediate Developer to remotely support its EPA ICIS contract in Washington, D.C. The role supports modernization, enhancement, and maintenance of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS). The developer will work with established senior technical personnel to perform application modernization while maintaining reliable, continuous system operations. The position involves hands-on development work rather than only requirements analysis or project coordination. Legacy application modernization experience is strongly preferred; prior federal contracting experience is beneficial but not required. The role includes modernizing legacy Java applications, upgrading frameworks and libraries, supporting Oracle WebLogic compatibility, improving and troubleshooting code, and documenting business rules. It also involves EDT refactoring, API and data integration work, database updates, testing, defect resolution, and support for ICIS enhancements, including NPDES Phase II requirements. The developer will maintain and modernize SAP Business Objects reporting and assist in evaluating reporting solutions, including a potential migration to Metabase. Code changes, technical specifications, and releases are documented using Jira, Confluence, and version control tools. The role requires customer approval, suitability to hold a public trust, and successful completion of a preemployment background screening. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Dexian Government Solutions provides IT services to civilian and defense agencies and describes its team as focused on customer missions and sustainability.
