About The Position

The Developer builds platform features and services in a cloud-native AWS environment. You will implement user stories and features, write tests, participate in code reviews, support continuous delivery, and make effective use of AI-assisted development tooling across the SDLC. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team and possess current hands-on software development experience with modern languages and frameworks, version control, AWS/cloud concepts, CI/CD, testing, secure coding, and AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with modern languages/frameworks and version control.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development on AWS and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests and participating in code reviews.
  • Experience troubleshooting defects and supporting continuous delivery.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and software quality principles.
  • Ability and willingness to use approved AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing and validating generated output.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, self-start, and solve problems effectively.
  • Consistent on-time attendance and reliability.
  • Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities change.
  • Availability during normal business hours and as needed after hours or weekends.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Willingness to collaborate and accept feedback.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship is not permitted.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS exposure or certification.
  • Federal IT experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Implement user stories and features on a cloud-native AWS stack.
  • Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Fix defects and support continuous delivery.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC and independently validate generated output.
  • Collaborate with the team on design and refinement.
  • Support secure coding and accessibility requirements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and automation.
  • Identify technical issues and communicate risks or blockers early.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering and story-refinement activities to align technical implementation with business needs.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
