About The Position

The Developer builds platform features and services in a cloud-native AWS environment. You will implement user stories and features, write tests, participate in code reviews, support continuous delivery, and make effective use of AI-assisted development tooling across the SDLC. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team and possess current hands-on software development experience with modern languages and frameworks, version control, AWS/cloud concepts, CI/CD, testing, secure coding, and AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
6+ years of software development experience.
Experience with modern languages/frameworks and version control.
Familiarity with cloud-native development on AWS and CI/CD concepts.
Experience writing unit and integration tests and participating in code reviews.
Experience troubleshooting defects and supporting continuous delivery.
Understanding of secure coding practices and software quality principles.
Ability and willingness to use approved AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing and validating generated output.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize, self-start, and solve problems effectively.
Consistent on-time attendance and reliability.
Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities change.
Availability during normal business hours and as needed after hours or weekends.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Willingness to collaborate and accept feedback.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship is not permitted.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

AWS exposure or certification.
Federal IT experience.
Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling.

Participate in requirements-gathering and story-refinement activities to align technical implementation with business needs.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation as appropriate.
Collaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
