About The Position

Cintel is seeking a Developer with expertise in Power BI, data analysis, and business intelligence solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights and support mission-critical operations. The position requires a foundation in data warehousing and reporting concepts, as well as experience implementing business intelligence and big data solutions.

The Developer works across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment. Responsibilities include building and tuning ETL processes, creating BI reports and dashboards, validating data transformations, writing SQL, analyzing and visualizing data, documenting systems, collaborating with stakeholders, and recommending improvements to BI and data management practices.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in software development, business intelligence, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with Power BI, data analysis, data aggregation, and data visualization.
• Strong experience with ETL processes and data transformation methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies, including queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• A solid foundation in data warehousing concepts and reporting platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle.
• An active Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with big data technologies and multiple BI environments.
• Experience with Java, C, C#, .NET, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, backend development, React, microservices, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, AWS, Postgres, Spark/Scala, SQL/PLSQL, NiFi, Informatica, Linux, data pipeline development and optimization, Bash, cloud resources, Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Vault, Kubernetes, DNS, load balancing, and TLS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings to extract, transform, and load data between systems.
• Tune ETL processes for efficient data processing.
• Develop BI reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
• Perform unit testing and validate BI reports and data transformations.
• Write and optimize complex SQL statements, stored procedures, scripts, triggers, and views.
• Analyze data and implement aggregation, transformation, and visualization strategies.
• Apply best practices in data warehousing, reporting platforms, and business intelligence solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective BI dashboards and reports.
• Support requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain system documentation supporting the development lifecycle.
• Recommend solutions and improvements to advance BI and data management practices.
