About The Position

Rothy’s is seeking a motivated Developer to help build scalable, high-quality technology solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable features, solving problems in the e-commerce domain, and contributing to team success while developing technical skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. The Developer will develop and maintain backend solutions with performance and security in mind; implement, test, deploy, and support software that meets business needs; and write clean, maintainable, well-documented code. The role participates in Agile planning and team discussions, works with product, design, QA, data, and engineering partners, and continuously improves technical skills, tools, and development practices.

Requirements

2–5 years of development experience.
Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs and how to integrate them.
Ability to write clean, readable code with basic test coverage.
Working knowledge of modern frameworks such as Elixir, Rails, React, Node.js, Vue, or Python.
Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
Familiarity with common development patterns such as MVC.
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control such as Git.
A developed point of view and best practices in using AI for software development.
Comfort working with APIs and third-party integrations.
Clear and thoughtful communication and a collaborative approach.
Attention to detail and pride in writing clean, reliable code.
Curiosity, proactivity, and a strong desire to learn and improve.
Comfort asking questions, seeking feedback, and learning from it.
Accountability, dependability, and ability to manage tasks and follow through on commitments.
Adaptability and openness to new tools, technologies, and ways of working.

Nice To Haves

Some experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
Some experience with SAP or other ERP systems and supply-chain systems such as Order Management Systems.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Heroku.
Interest in retail, fashion, or sustainability.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable backend solutions with performance and security in mind.
Contribute to solving problems in the e-commerce domain.
Collaborate with Product Management, Design, QA, Data, Product, and Engineering teams to support solution development.
