Developer (Python, AWS)

OpenDataJobs•Washington, DC
•$92,000 - $133,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Developer to build Python services on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that automatically read and route federal filings. The role is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and uses a hybrid work arrangement, with commuting cadence varying by assignment. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. The first project will likely help a federal agency replace a manual, paper-heavy intake process with an intelligent pipeline. Depending on assignment, the Developer may build cloud services to process high-volume applications, combine optical character recognition (OCR) with AI to extract information, assess extraction confidence, apply routing logic and validation rules, and create human-review workflows. The goal is an automated intake pipeline that moves filings from submission to decision at volume while maintaining accuracy and auditability. This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $92,000 to $133,000 per year. Peregrine describes a people-first, ownership-oriented culture and offers work across strategy and implementation, onboarding, professional certifications, continuing education, and opportunities to rotate across functions and clients.
