About The Position

As a Developer Team Lead in our Melbourne Headquarters, you'll lead front-end and back-end teams to drive new processes, improvements, and best practices—while staying hands-on with development. Strong expertise in React and .NET is required. Guide cross-functional delivery, mentor developers, and reliability across the stack. This position is a temp-to-perm position (6 month contract).

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related academic area or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience with software analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, integration, deployment, support and documentation of core and web-based systems following the software development lifecycle, or combination of applicable experience, education, and training which provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform job duties.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies, object-oriented programming, web services, client-server concepts, and performing code reviews to ensure proper coding standards are followed.
  • Frontend web development skills: React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS Platforms.
  • Backend development using .Net, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, Node.JS, SQL Server and/or other relational databases.
  • API Integrations.
  • Back-end Developer skills: .Net, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, C#, SQL Server and/or other relational databases, Node.JS, experience with client-server concepts, object-oriented programming, web services, and Waterfall/Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end web development, React, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, and WCMS platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occasional after-hours support to answer questions and resolve problems.
  • Lead and mentor software developers in the implementation of software architectural changes while ensuring proper coding standards are followed.
  • Provide technical guidance to both frontend and backend developers working towards a common goal while ensuring proper coding standards are followed.
  • Confer with vendors, other IT team members, users, and department managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware.
  • Review, analyze, and modify the application systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Analyze and resolve problems associated with application systems. Detect, diagnose, and report related problems.
  • Consistently meets assigned project deadlines and goals.
