Developer Solution Engineer

Genies is seeking a Developer Solution Engineer to join their team and support external developers in building avatar experiences for mobile and hardware AR. As Genies prepares to release a public Developer Kit, they are looking for a passionate and tech-savvy professional to lead and expand their developer community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing developer communication channels, providing technical support, organizing developer-centric events, and contributing to product strategy. This role requires strong experience in Developer Relations, expertise in Unity, and exceptional communication skills. Genies offers a supportive and growth-oriented environment for their employees.

• Lead, nurture, and expand the developer community by managing developer communication channels, promoting collaboration and engagement
• Create, maintain, and improve developer documentation and tutorials
• Provide technical support with Unity, troubleshoot issues, and address queries about products and services
• Act as a bridge between the developer community and internal teams, advocating for developers' needs and contributing to product strategy
• Organize and host developer-centric events such as webinars, hackathons, workshops, and training sessions
• Help create a roadmap with the Product and Engineering teams to scale the developer ecosystem and tooling
• Proven experience in Developer Relations
• Expert-level experience using Unity
• Strong understanding of software development processes and familiarity with programming languages and developer tools
• Experience organizing and hosting developer events and managing communities
• Exceptional communication skills to explain technical concepts to a varied audience
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and tutorials
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide efficient solutions
• Ability to support and maintain relationships with artists and developers
• Passion for engaging developers and technology

• Proven experience in Developer Relations as a Developer Relations Specialist, Developer Relations Engineer, Developer Evangelist, or similar role
• 3-5 years of experience using Unity (expert-level)
• Strong understanding of software development processes, and familiarity with popular programming languages, developer tools
• Experience organizing and hosting developer events and managing communities
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a varied audience
• Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation and tutorials
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide quick and efficient solutions
• Ability to support and maintain relationships with artists + developers
