Developer Relations Engineer

AdyenSan Francisco, CA
$190,000 - $290,000Onsite

About The Position

Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. We're building one of the largest payment platforms in the world — at the exact moment the ground is shifting beneath it. AI agents are increasingly discovering, evaluating, and integrating with platforms on developers' behalf, and are projected to transact on payments at a scale that rivals humans. That makes Developer Relations one of the highest-impact teams at Adyen: we directly shape how both developers and their AI agents build on our platform. Our mission is to make Adyen the easiest platform to integrate with — for humans and agents alike. We own the quality of the developer-facing content that people and agents build from (code snippets, integration examples, documentation quality), we surface developer friction with evidence and drive fixes across the company, and we're making Adyen's developer surfaces agent-legible and agent-reliable as an explicit quality bar. We're a small, senior, high-ownership team, which means a strong hire genuinely shapes the function. We are looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to join the team, and contribute to: Building the source material developers and agents rely on — high-quality, discoverable integration examples and code snippets across languages, at the bar our strategy demands. This is the foundation both human developers and AI agents build from, so quality, correctness, and discoverability matter more than volume — and keeping it current is part of the job, because stale content misleads agents as much as people. Making Adyen agent-ready — helping ensure our docs, snippets, and developer surfaces are legible and reliable for AI agents and AI-assisted developer workflows. As agents increasingly integrate on developers' behalf, this is one of the most consequential shifts in our industry, and you will help lead this transformation.
