About The Position
This role involves supporting technical analysis on business requirements and priorities through client discussions. The position requires performing analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of large/complex IT solutions projects related to passenger rail transportation systems. A key aspect is conducting detailed business analysis to architect and design IT solutions that meet functional and technical requirements. The role also includes designing, developing, testing, and implementing business-critical, cloud-native, enterprise-level services with a focus on high availability and high performance, as well as developing event-driven backend services for EDI transactions and maintaining technical documentation. Additionally, the position requires providing ongoing support, performing problem analysis, and resolution, with experience in automated testing frameworks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot, and Maven.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS integrations.
- Experienced with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Code Pipeline, and CloudFormation.
- Solid experience with automated testing using tools such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Playwright and Cypress.
- Understanding of the Twelve-Factor Application Methodology.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native design, development, and delivery using AWS technologies including ECS, EventBridge, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, Cloudwatch.
- Knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinker with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of relevant work experience.
Nice To Haves
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate or higher.
- Experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
- Experience with event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of AWS CDK and infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
