About The Position

Job Summary: The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is an execution-focused engineer embedded directly with business, product, and delivery teams to rapidly design, build, and validate high-impact solutions. This role bridges engineering, product, and business, turning problems into working software, pilots, and proofs of value. Focused on Connected, a multi-year strategic program focused on modernizing and digitizing Sales, Recruiting, and Marketing capabilities across Allegis Group and its operating companies. The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a critical execution role within the Connected program, responsible for rapidly deploying technical solutions directly into business workflows to validate value, inform product investment, and accelerate adoption. The FDE operates at the intersection of AI, data, platforms, and user workflows, deploying solutions “forward” into real environments, validating outcomes quickly, and informing scale decisions. This role is critical to evidence first delivery, rapid experimentation, and accelerating enterprise adoption of new capabilities.

  • Experience building and deploying real-world solutions in production or near-production settings
  • Strong experience with TypeScript / JavaScript for backend services (Node.js preferred)
  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tradeoffs
  • Experience integrating with SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Google, Snowflake)

  • Shaping architecture, integration patterns, and scalability paths for future productionalization
  • Acting as a technical advisor to leadership on feasibility, tradeoffs, and scale readiness
  • Partner directly with stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and success criteria
  • Design and implement full-stack or system-level solutions across front-end, back-end, integrations, and data layers
  • Build AI-enabled or data-driven capabilities where appropriate (e.g., agents, automation, decision support)
  • Integrate with enterprise platforms (Salesforce, APIs, data platforms, identity, messaging)
  • Own end-to-end delivery from concept through deployment and measurement
  • Instrument solutions to capture usage, performance, and business impact
  • Communicate outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Identify risks, constraints, and architectural implications early
  • Hand off validated solutions with clear documentation and recommendations for scaling or sunset
