About The Position

Tenex is seeking a Developer Experience hire who will bridge the gap between building with AI and communicating those advancements. This role involves shipping software using cutting-edge AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini, and then transforming these projects into educational content for Tenex's audience of AI-curious professionals. The position also includes leading AI workshops for clients, ranging from hackathons to specialized sessions for various business functions. The work is cyclical, with builds informing content, content refining workshops, and workshops identifying new build opportunities. This is a high-ownership role for an individual who can code, create compelling content, and effectively train customers.

Requirements

3+ years of software building experience, with practical experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or equivalents) to build production-ready work.
A strong portfolio of teaching content (videos, posts, playbooks, threads) explaining technical concepts to technical or AI-curious audiences.
Deep understanding of AI, including current developments, relevant tools, and practical workflow application.
Experience teaching technical material to non-technical audiences, running hackathons, or leading impactful training sessions for leaders.
A creator's instinct for identifying compelling aspects of a build for content creation and the ability to produce finished content.
Operational discipline to manage parallel workflows (builds, shoots, workshops) without compromising quality.
Ability to produce and edit own content end-to-end.
Exceptional taste and judgment in distinguishing between effective demos and robust builds, and between polished and impactful content.
High ownership mentality and low ego, willing to perform diverse tasks and provide constructive pushback.

Experience straddling engineering and content for a creator, founder, or technical brand targeting AI-native operators and enterprises.

Responsibilities

Build real software, internal tools, demos, and prototypes using AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini, documenting the process.
Create educational content (videos, posts, threads, playbooks) explaining built projects, tools used, and workflows.
Educate Tenex's target audience (operators, founders, enterprise leaders) on frontier AI capabilities, translating complex concepts into actionable insights.
Lead AI workshops for Tenex customers, including hackathons, leadership enablement sessions, and function-specific training.
Stay current with the latest AI models, tools, and workflows, providing insights and feedback.
Establish and maintain a build-content-workshop cadence to amplify Tenex's market presence.
