The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced level 2 Systems Engineer with an active Secret clearance to work from either our Boulder, CO or Longmont, CO location. This is an Emerging Professional (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically have 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree. SBIRS and the Next‑Gen GEO OPIR ground stations form the backbone of the United States’ missile‑warning architecture. By delivering near‑real‑time, high‑confidence detection of ballistic missile launches and other hostile trajectories, these systems provide life‑saving early warning for the warfighter, enable rapid decision‑making, and support cueing of defensive interceptors and command‑and‑control assets. Your work will directly protect troops, allies, and critical infrastructure worldwide. The Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Infrastructure Team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the ground‑station platform that supports both SBIRS and the Next‑Gen GEO OPIR ground stations. You will work hand‑in‑hand with infrastructure engineers and mission specialists to automate provisioning, configuration, and continuous‑delivery pipelines for ultra‑reliable, secure, and scalable ground‑systems.
