Requirements
- Exceptional experience in Python programming (Strong)
- Configuration/management tools such as Gitlab
- Containerization tools such as Docker
- Deep expertise with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Orchestration and automation
- Familiar with best practices in billing and accounting with AWS
- 5+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
- Experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Python or Golang
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- Experience hosting applications on commercial cloud providers
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (willing to take CI Poly)
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering
Nice To Haves
- Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and Kibana
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
- Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
- Experience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles, and working with other development teams to recast work
- Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions
- Cloud-based backup and recovery, including failover zones
- Minimizing oversubscription of services and the AWS cloud environment at NGA
- Automated testing
- Automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines)
- Branching strategy and implementation
- Developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- Troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
- Developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
- Working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
