Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalency.
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be able to obtain NCIC/TLETS certification within six (6) months of employment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (certification requirement).
  • Handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Dependability.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and interacting with inmates and ensure their safety and health.
  • Provide inmate transport to court, interview rooms, and other agencies.
  • Complete administrative work, communicate and respond to queries.
  • Perform and oversee the inventory of jail supplies and inmate property, evidence, and lost and found items.
  • Assist in the implementation of safety procedures and provide janitorial services.
  • Providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
