Requirements

High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalency.
One (1) year of related experience.
Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
Must be able to obtain NCIC/TLETS certification within six (6) months of employment
Must be a U.S. Citizen (certification requirement).
Handle multiple tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Attentive to detail.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Dependability.

Responsibilities

Supervising and interacting with inmates and ensure their safety and health.
Provide inmate transport to court, interview rooms, and other agencies.
Complete administrative work, communicate and respond to queries.
Perform and oversee the inventory of jail supplies and inmate property, evidence, and lost and found items.
Assist in the implementation of safety procedures and provide janitorial services.
Providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
