About The Position

Titan Security is hiring a Detention Administrator to work in a correctional facility in Lincoln Park, Michigan. The role oversees intake and release operations, processes offender arrivals and departures, and completes related documentation and facility updates. The position requires the ability to handle the physical and mental stress associated with extended hours and to remain physically alert on any assigned shift. Prior corrections or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.
Ability to report to work regularly and punctually.
Ability to remain physically alert on any assigned shift.
Mature, flexible, and able to command the respect and confidence of inmates or detainees and staff.
Philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility and able to tolerate mental stress.
May be required to possess a valid state driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Prior corrections officer or law enforcement background.
Work experience in a correctional setting.
One year of experience as a security or corrections officer.

Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor activities in the intake and release areas.
Complete daily information forms needed to process offenders into and out of the facility.
Update the computer system when offenders arrive or depart.
Update the count board upon offender arrivals and departures.
Operate fingerprinting equipment for incoming offenders.
Ensure arriving offenders receive appropriate identification, including an ID and wristband.
Complete property inventories for incoming and outgoing offenders.
Properly identify each offender scheduled for release.
Notify necessary departments about pending incoming and outgoing offenders.
