About The Position

As a Detection & Investigation Analyst Lead within PNC's EFR/CONTRLS AND EXECUTION organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Birmingham, AL. This is an in-office position with standard Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Local Time hours. Requirements

  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills – will need to manage and prioritize case load.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Basic Excel skills recommended.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. This position relies heavily on accurate documentation of case notes and reports.
  • This position requires contact with customers and our service partners on the phone.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and investigates customer cases, reports and work for potential and actual loss.
  • Minimizes fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and/or organizational risk.
  • Performs early detection of suspicious activity.
  • Controls and prevents losses.
  • May lead the work of and/or train detection and investigation staff.
  • Researches and analyzes bank activities and reports to detect and prevent possible fraudulent and suspicious activities.
  • Recommends disposition.
  • Identifies gaps and control enhancements.
  • Uses defined research procedures to identify and resolve issues.
  • Identifies trends and escalates as appropriate.
  • Follows standards and practices to mitigate fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and other risk exposure and loss.
  • Shares best practices among the team and/or service partners.
  • Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation of analysis performed and coordinates with internal or external stakeholders as appropriate.
