About The Position

Village Travel is an award-winning, family-owned company that operates a large fleet of over 200 charter motorcoaches. In addition, Village plans unique sight-seeing tours, offers travel agency services, a fleet of Entertainer Coaches, and a fleet of tractor/trailers. The Company began in 1980 and has since expanded its regional footprint and continues to grow into one of the largest full-service charter and tour operations in the Midwest. We are searching for a Full-Time Detailer, responsible for cleaning our Entertainer motorcoaches in Wichita, KS. The Entertainer Coach Detailer is responsible for the cleaning of the exterior and interior of all Entertainer coaches. This position is Full Time, weekdays 8am-5pm but the schedule can/will need to be flexible from time to time, some weekend work may be required. The starting wage is $18/hr based on experience.

Requirements

Physically demanding position/on feet constantly
Must have reliable transportation and regular attendance.
Must be able to use/push powered pressure washing machine.
Will be working in wet, hot and cold environments.
Able to work well with a team as well as individually.
Attention to detail is a must.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

Washing exterior of coach, dump takes, fill tanks prior to departure with fresh water.
Cleaning interior of coach, which includes front and rear lounge, bunk area, drawers and cabinets, appliances, luggage bays, bathroom, drivers’ area, etc.
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors and steps of coach.
Check and clean HVAC filters.
Ensuring miscellaneous finishing touches are completed, i.e. wastebaskets are emptied and cleaned, placing lost items in lost and found, spraying air freshener, etc.
Exercising high caution when reversing. If reversing out of the bay, a spotter is required.
Bus stock organized and put on the coach for every tour.
Make bunks and beds with sheet, pillowcases, and comforter.
Have a meticulous eye for needed repairs and communicate them to the Interior Specialist.
Other duties as assigned.
