About The Position

Folsom Lake Toyota Collision Center, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Collision Detailer. The role involves cleaning and restoring vehicle interiors, exteriors, and engine compartments, applying appropriate cleaning and preservation products, and inspecting vehicles for visible defects. Requirements

Ability to read and follow instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver license in the state of employment and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors, clean interior and exterior windows, and wipe down door jambs.
Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris.
Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and devices.
Apply revitalizing and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabric with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
Use special-purpose cleaners to remove materials not removed by normal cleaning procedures, following manufacturer recommendations and applying experience and judgment.
Clean engines and engine compartments using steam-cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, including dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
Restore the appearance of engine areas, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces using touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials.
Apply dressing to tires and tire wells.
