About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Austin is looking for an additional Detailer! A Detailer possesses a positive attitude and a professional appearance and demeanor. Our team members are service-oriented, customer-centered, and focused on safety. Experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • Pass a drug test
  • Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
  • Valid social security card
  • Can not have any DWI charges
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Provide a 3 year driving record
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Enjoy practical work
  • An eye for detail
  • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job

Responsibilities

  • Perform the following tasks Drive car through automatic car wash (verify car is secure and safe to go through automatic car wash - if not secure or hand wash)
  • Hand and/or brush vehicle exteriors and shine tires and rims
  • Vacuum inside and trunk carpets
  • Clean and maintain vehicle interiors, including dashboards, consoles
  • Dry the outside of vehicle
  • Clean door trims and hinges
  • Clean windows including windshield inside and out (make sure no streaks)
  • Perform the following detail tasks Wax and buff exterior
  • Steam clean inside and out
  • Pressure wash exterior and under hood
  • Detail vacuums design in carpet
  • Polish exterior chrome and all trim
  • Use air pressure and special equipment to dry inside and outside surfaces
  • Apply special chemical product to exterior and interior
  • Apply touch up paint to minor scratches and chips
  • Check in new vehicles from transporter company
  • Inspect for damage
  • Insure all Move and park vehicles in correct location
  • Manage inventory and record supplies
  • Delivering vehicles with sales team
  • Ensure tools and equipment are operated in a safe manner at all times, and report equipment defects to the service manager or dealer.
  • Understand and comply with current and future federal, state, and local regulations, the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, etc.
  • Practice safe driving skills
  • Offer friendly and knowledgeable assistance
  • Meet grooming standards; proper uniform attire
  • Report all incidents immediately to supervisor
  • Adherence to corporate policies and procedures
  • Team player
  • Set next shift up for success
  • Ability to multitask and manage time
  • Able to work without supervision
