About The Position

Kenny Kent Chevrolet is seeking detailers for full-time and part-time positions. The Detailer cleans and refurbishes new and used vehicles inside and out, performs regular non-mechanical maintenance services, moves vehicles, and completes other duties assigned by the manager safely and promptly. This is described as an entry-level opportunity with potential to move into other departments and continue growing. The position is based in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment and calls for a positive attitude and teamwork.

The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with AM and PM schedules available. Employees may also be required to work Saturdays depending on business levels.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and can-do mentality.
• Hardworking personality, demonstrated leadership qualities, and eagerness to improve.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Apply wax and wipe or buff vehicle surfaces to protect them and preserve shine.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents and applicators.
• Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather, and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
• Clean engines and engine compartments using steam-cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
• Use special-purpose cleaners to remove materials not addressed by normal cleaning procedures, following product recommendations.
• Paint engine components and related parts using a spray gun or aerosol can and masking materials.
• Drive inventory vehicles, including sold units, as part of the detailing process.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, including picking up and discarding trash and debris and sweeping assigned areas.
• Complete other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the manager.
• Work and communicate effectively with coworkers and management as a team player.
