About The Position
Soaring Eagle Technologies is seeking an experienced Desktop Utility Inspector T&D to review drone-collected imagery of electric utility distribution and transmission assets. This fully remote role supports utility inspection programs across the United States. The position is available part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate, with competitive pay based on experience and no travel requirement.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of electric utility distribution or transmission experience.
- Prior desktop or imagery-based inspection experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a computer capable of running inspection software.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Journeyman Lineman or Qualified Electrical Worker.
Responsibilities
- Review drone-collected RGB and infrared imagery of utility poles, lines, and related equipment.
- Identify and classify defects and assign severity ratings in accordance with customer and company standards.
- Accurately annotate findings in inspection software.
- Promptly escalate safety-critical findings to the Project Manager.
- Meet production and quality targets within project deadlines.
