About The Position

We are a Chicagoland-based CPA firm with offices in Westchester, IL, Edina, MN and Schererville, IN. Our firm specializes in audit, accounting and tax services to employee benefit plans, labor organizations, not-for-profits organizations and governmental entities. We value our employees and offer a hybrid work environment to ensure a healthy work/life balance. Initially, the role requires five days on-site, with the potential for a hybrid schedule (one day working from home) after minimum 6 months. Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software issues, responding to help request tickets, and configuring, assembling, installing workstations and peripheral equipment. You will provide PC support for Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and other standard applications. Additionally, you will assist with user training programs and provide end-user support services on Saturdays from January through mid-April.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on IT support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 11
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PCs and printing systems
  • Basic understanding of networking environments and Active Directory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Customer- and team-oriented focus
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within an auditing firm
  • Experience with CCH and QuickBooks
  • iOS support experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact for IT support requests
  • Provide end-user support
  • Provide troubleshooting support for MFA and VPN issues
  • Respond to and set up requests via ShareFile portal
  • Manage PC equipment maintenance (laptops, printers, etc.), including upgrades and repairs, directly or through third-party vendors
  • Mobile device support
  • Maintain an organized and efficient IT workstation area
  • Offer after-hours support as needed
  • Maintain asset inventory records
  • Image PCs for deployment to ensure seamless setup
  • AV support for conferences
  • Provide client support services as directed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the System Administrators
