About The Position

Seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join its Overnight Rapid Response team. This individual will provide hands-on technical support for end-user devices, clinical systems, printers, workstations, mobile devices, and network-connected equipment throughout the hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong desktop support experience within large enterprise environments and be comfortable working independently during overnight hours while supporting mission-critical healthcare operations. This role requires a combination of technical troubleshooting expertise, customer service skills, hardware deployment experience, and the ability to respond quickly to end-user issues within established service level agreements.

  • 2-4 years of desktop support experience within a Windows 10/11 enterprise environment.
  • Strong break/fix troubleshooting skills across desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral technologies.
  • Experience with hardware deployments, workstation refreshes, and operating system migrations.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices including iPhones and iPads.
  • Experience supporting network connectivity issues and basic LAN troubleshooting.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service mindset and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop support for physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and clinical personnel.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, operating system, and connectivity issues.
  • Image, configure, deploy, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, and workstations.
  • Perform workstation replacements, refreshes, moves, additions, and changes.
  • Deploy and support printers, scanners, peripherals, and clinical devices.
  • Configure and support Wyse thin clients and virtual desktop environments.
  • Configure and support iPhones, iPads, and mobile devices.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot clinical and business software applications.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving wired and wireless devices.
  • Support Active Directory user accounts, password resets, permissions, and access requests.
  • Perform incident response and rapid remediation for end-user technology issues.
  • Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify technology issues before they impact users.
  • Document troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and technical findings within the ticketing system.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and deployment documentation.
  • Assist with hardware rollouts, operating system upgrades, refresh initiatives, and technology projects.
  • Perform wire and cable management to ensure work areas remain organized and compliant with standards.
  • Capture before and after documentation of infrastructure and cable management work.
  • Provide one-on-one instruction and guidance to end users regarding hardware, software, and standard procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, networking, and application support teams when escalations are required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies related to security, data privacy, and technology standards.
  • Meet ticket closure and response metrics while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in workstation audits, inventory validation, and asset lifecycle management activities.
