Iron Oak Energy is looking for a dynamic Desktop Support Analyst who will have a positive impact on the Information Technology team at it’s The Woodlands, TX. Corporate office location. A desktop support analyst diagnoses and resolves technical issues, manages hardware and software, and maintains computer systems to keep users productive. Core duties involve troubleshooting devices, configuring systems, asset management and tracking support requests.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT is standard, though equivalent work experience is often accepted.
  • Typically, 3 to 5 years of hands-on PC and laptop support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS operating systems, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and ticketing software like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Popular credentials include CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or HDI support credentials.
  • Clear communication, customer service focus, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve hardware, software, and network connection problems via phone, remote tools, or in-person per Iron Oak Energy’s IT Policy and Procedures.
  • Set up and configure new computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Apply software patches, updates, and security configurations.
  • Document support requests, actions taken, and final resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Guide end-users through technical processes and provide basic training.
  • Procure new hardware and software according to Iron Oak Energy’s approved list and IT Policy and Procedures.
  • Work with IT Operations Lead and Systems Administrators on needed escalations.
  • Assist in weekly off hours pager/cell phone support duties.
