About The Position

Reliant Credit Union, ranked one of Rochester's top mid-sized workplaces eight years in a row, seeks a Desktop Support Administrator to join our team. The Desktop Support Administrator is responsible for end-user support and maintenance of the Credit Union’s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all desktop computer hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation and equipment performance.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in computer science desired.
  • Two years of related work experience. Related work experiences may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve to help identify and resolve system issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers and to translate technical information at the employee’s understanding level with clarity and tact.
  • Interpersonal skills to coordinate work with other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; adept at planning and scheduling work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff so that operational problems are resolved quickly without significant interruption.
  • Ensure the security of computer systems including desktops, laptops, printers, and related systems. This includes assisting in keeping our environment virus free.
  • Perform operating system and application upgrades including Operating Systems, Windows Applications, and Credit Union third party applications as needed to maintain current levels.
  • Maintain inventory of all computer assets and software licensing to ensure proper levels. This includes but is not limited to software and hardware license for applications, desktops, laptops, mobile equipment, printers, and related systems.
  • Maintain a patch management program to ensure safe implementation of security patches and software upgrades to desktop environments to ensure protection against known vulnerabilities and bug fixes.
  • Maintain Active Directory logins, login security, and authorization levels for other applications under the technical direction of the Systems Administrator.
