About The Position

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is a multidisciplinary, integrated national professional services firm with over 500 professionals and 350+ business professionals. This role is for a Microsoft Desktop Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Windows migrations and endpoint management. The position involves managing SCCM and being part of the team responsible for key software systems including Intune, Teams, Exchange, AD, OneDrive, and M365. The firm's fleet consists of approximately 1000 user endpoints and 600 servers across two physical data centers and a cloud environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Windows Operating Systems and Migrations
• 5+ years’ experience configuring and Managing MS teams, OneDrive, and O365 applications
• Active directory and ancillary technologies such as, DHCP, DNS, GPO, Sites and Services, Logon Scripts, etc.
• An understanding of the differences between on premise and cloud-based server / software implementations
• Setting up and maintaining Azure AD sync
• Using Intune (or other MDM) to manage mobile devices and endpoints
• Configuring and administering Single Sign on and Multiple Factor Authentication systems (Okta & Azure a plus)
• Experience with email related technologies such as archiving, antispam, backups, SMTP tracking logs, etc.
• Configuring conditional access policies for Exchange On-Line, Teams, OneDrive, and O365 applications
• Experience planning, implementing, and troubleshooting: MS O365, Azure, Exchange Online, and Teams
• Active directory domain service
• understanding Azure bases PaaS and IaaS
• Scripting experience using PowerShell
• Applicant must be able to work in a team environment with other systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations and work well multi-tasking various related efforts
• Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

• Certifications preferred (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM / MCSE)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Firm’s Autopilot provisioning process
• Deployment of software to user computers via SCCM and Intune
• Manage the Manatt imaging, from build to deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Responsibility for all firm deployments to endpoints, packaging new software and deploying updates to existing installed applications
• Manage and maintain configuration manager, the primary SCCM server and all distribution points
• Monthly Security patching endpoints using WSUS, for both users’ computers and servers
• Manage device enrollment in Intune for computers
• Use Intune as the MDM for mobile phones and support application deployment for approved mobile apps
• Ability to write and execute scripts for things like updates to AD and profile build after first time log-in
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated desktop issues in relation to application deployment
• Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practices
• Follow proper escalation, communications, and change management policies for production system problems
• Documentation of all aspects of various system installation and configuration efforts step-by-step
