About The Position

This role implements micro-based desktops, servers, and related hardware and software, as well as workstation connectivity. It involves assisting with system enhancements and modifications, providing technical support and documentation, and troubleshooting desktop and connectivity problems. The position also requires performing other related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Two years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing desktop and end-user support in a higher-education, healthcare, research, or similarly complex environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows 11, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, mobile devices, and common desktop peripherals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, endpoint security, device provisioning, application deployment, and remote-support tools.
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless networking, VPN connectivity, authentication, operating-system troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics.
  • Experience using an IT service-management or ticketing system and creating clear technical documentation and knowledge-base articles.
  • Basic experience with PowerShell or another scripting and automation technology.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, accessibility, data security, and clear communication with users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests, troubleshoot issues methodically, document resolutions, and escalate incidents appropriately.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional, ITIL Foundation, or a comparable industry certification is preferred.
