About The Position

The Desktop Administrator supports the technology experience for employees across Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, including Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, endpoint devices, collaboration tools, and day-to-day technical support. This role helps maintain reliable, secure, and well-documented systems while supporting business operations in an on-site manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-minded, organized, and comfortable working across end-user support, Microsoft cloud services, devices, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant IT support, systems administration, endpoint administration or Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, mobile devices and common business applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and user administration.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user and group management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Albert Lea, MN and support a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Professional ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (server and workstation).
  • Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MDM/endpoint management tools.
  • Experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 licensing
  • Basic PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Experience supporting phone systems or cloud PBX platforms
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MD-102, MS-102, AZ-900, or related experience.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, licensing, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and related configurations.
  • Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory User management
  • Support cloud-based business systems, including Microsoft 365, phone systems, collaboration platforms and vendor managed services.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, user provisioning, and service configurations.
  • Assist with governance and compliance standards with Microsoft 365 per IT leadership.
  • Deploy, configure and maintain endpoint devices and peripherals.
  • Provide end-user support in person and via remote service tools.
  • Provide training to users on systems and applications.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Review basic security alerts, sign-in activity, and audit logs; escalate suspicious activity according to IT procedures.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members, vendors or leadership as appropriate.
  • Assist with IT based initiatives such as application rollouts, device refreshes, process improvements and system upgrades.
  • Participate in rotating after-hours support schedule for urgent business-impacting issues.
