About The Position

Stefanini Group is looking for a Deskside Technician II for a globally recognized company. This role involves supporting IT equipment in a large corporate environment, providing desktop and laptop technical support for both Mac and PC, and supporting Windows 11 operating systems. The technician will also support mobile devices, printers, scanners, wireless, and VPN. Key responsibilities include IMAC support (Install/Move/Add/Change), maintaining repairs, spare parts, and components, researching and troubleshooting problems, maintaining system configurations and documentation, and tracking customer incidents and requests through a ticketing tool. The role also requires troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing backup, restoration, and migration of user data, providing Smart Hands support for networking, server, and telecommunications, supporting printers and peripheral devices, and managing IT asset inventory. The technician must be able to research and follow KB articles, work on-call and after-hours support, potentially provide executive support, and perform various other deskside service tasks. Availability to support other client locations may be required.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting Mac OS, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Smart Phones, AV Conferencing Systems, Printers and PC hardware
  • Able to uphold a positive attitude at all times, even under stressful conditions
  • Experience supporting remote facilities and users
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and strong personal interaction skills
  • Ability to perform in-depth research and troubleshooting for complex technical issues
  • Ability to prioritize and complete all work tasks with minimal supervision

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Deskside / Desktop / End User Computer experience, ideally in a corporate environment
  • Proven ability to handle challenging, rapid-response user support
  • Proven ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Ability to provide L2 Deskside Support, covering both end user computing and on-site network issues
  • Possesses familiarity with and experience supporting Labs, including IT and instruments
  • Position performing client-site imaging of Computers for Win11.
  • Developed specialized skill or is multi skilled through formal training and considerable work experience.
  • Works on assignments that are complex in nature and recognizes the need for occasional deviation from the accepted practice.
  • Attendance and schedule adherence are requirements of this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of multiple manufacturers and operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to communicate technical information -technical audiences.
  • Ability to complete assignments with no supervision.
  • Ability to search internally/externally for support information.
  • Customer-oriented attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance, if travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management of IT assets including asset auditing
  • Ability to research and follow appropriate KB articles
  • Ability to work on-call and other after-hours support needs
  • May provide Executive support
  • Various other tasks associated with deskside services
  • May need to be available to provide support at other client locations as needed

  • Providing hardware/software support services to onsite client including break/fix.
  • Providing installation and upgrading services of hardware and software.
  • This position includes continuous walking, bending and lifting equipment sometimes up to 50 pounds and engaging in labor related duties of connecting computer equipment.
