About The Position

At Mercy Housing, the Desk Clerk plays a crucial role in providing customer service to residents, monitoring building access, ensuring property security, and maintaining effective communication with authorities and the Property team. This is an on-site position where the work contributes to creating homes, hope, and opportunity within affordable housing communities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General office experience
  • Ability to work with diverse and vulnerable populations who have experienced homelessness.
  • Ability to answer the telephone and greet residents and guests clearly.
  • Ability to treat a variety of people with respect and compassion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to decide when an incident is an emergency and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to write messages in a legible fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents.
  • Monitor residents and visitors entering and exiting the building.
  • Provide security to the property.
  • Communicate appropriately and adequately with proper authorities and the Property team.
