Requirements

  • Associates degree is required
  • Demonstrated creativity and proficiency in design of complex medical device assemblies or gaging, tooling, and fixtures assemblies
  • Must be proficient in GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • Must have knowledge of general manufacturing technologies, including low to medium volume manufacturing processes
  • Experience with inspection/testing and data analysis
  • Strong computer/data entry, report writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving/trouble shooting experience
  • Must be able to read technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings
  • Engineering/design background
  • Ability to travel 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in modeling and document creation using CAD - Solidworks or AutoDesk Inventor
  • Working knowledge in GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • Expertise in general manufacturing technologies, including low to medium volume manufacturing processes
  • Human Factors and Industrial Design experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Design/Development of medical products and product improvements or tooling, fixtures and gaging required for manufacturing.
  • Responsible for Creation and Maintenance of 3-D CAD models, assemblies, and prints
  • Responsible for Management and use of CAD Data Management Tools
  • Responsible for compliance to the AtriCure Quality System and Company policies
  • May be responsible for performing Engineering analyses such as: Stress analysis, Part fit and tolerance analysis, Mechanism design and analysis, Material processing research, Design for manufacturability validation
  • Responsible for supporting manufacturing validation
  • Responsible for facilitating the creation of design standard practices within the company
  • Regular and predictable work performance
  • Ability to work under fast-paced conditions
  • Ability to make decisions and use good judgement
  • Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required
  • Ability to successfully work with others
  • Additional duties as assigned
