About The Position

Pottery Barn is seeking a part-time Designer to join their team. This role involves engaging with customers, showcasing product knowledge, providing design advice, developing and presenting design plans, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the process. The Designer will also handle retail operations, meet performance metrics, and contribute to a positive store environment while adhering to company policies.

Requirements

  • Passion for design and the company's products and services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the design studio assortment and seasonal merchandise.
  • Ability to provide decorating and styling techniques.
  • Skills in capturing appointment leads for design services.
  • Ability to conduct design consultations.
  • Capability to craft and present design plans tailored to clients' style, budget, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in maintaining communication with clients throughout ordering and delivery.
  • Ability to follow up with clients for phase appointments, seasonal updates, and referrals.
  • Skills in providing support with online returns, product information, credit applications.
  • Efficiency in handling register transactions, online orders, and online returns.
  • Ability to assist with visual merchandising.
  • Ability to meet sales per hour, loyalty, and appointment goals.
  • Ability to meet other metric objectives.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
