The Designer, Women’s Hard Wovens will be responsible for researching inspirational imagery, conceptualizing and creating compelling product, and engaging in all aspects of design from sketching to production. This role involves attending fittings, maintaining records, setting up and updating Bill of Materials (BOMs), presenting CAD options, and collaborating with the head designer to own styles within each collection. The designer will also maintain the seasonal swatch library, support trim development, communicate design changes to cross-functional partners, review lab dips, and coordinate with Product Development (PD) for design pass-off. Additionally, the role requires executing original design ideas through sewing, draping, and mocking up, working closely with Tech Design, Patternmakers, and the Sample Room, and communicating with vendors and factories. The designer will partner with PD daily to ensure product execution meets specifications and collaborates with their manager and cross-functional teams to build brand-right product that supports financial and merchandising strategies. Key seasonal trends will be identified and developed with oversees vendors. The role also involves scheduling meetings, engaging with Tech Design and Production on fit intent, shopping the market for competitive analysis, mentoring a Design Assistant, line sheet development, and following up on projects to meet deadlines. The designer will perform additional duties as requested.
