About The Position

Target’s Owned Brand Design team turns emerging trends, guest insights and creative ideas into original products that deliver design, quality and value. The team designs and develops Target-owned brands across Home, Apparel and Fun 101, working with merchandising, sourcing, product development, technical design and external vendor partners. As a Designer Intern, you will gain an introduction to Owned Brand Product Design and Development. With guidance from design leaders and team members, you will contribute to projects across categories and learn how concepts progress from research through design, development and presentation. You will build technical design skills and learn how guest needs, brand strategy, trends, materials, cost and production considerations shape retail products. Based on business needs, you may support Home, Apparel and Fun 101 teams. The internship includes training, coaching and exposure to cross-functional partners. You will manage a defined design project or body of work from inspiration through recommendation, then present your work and learnings to design leadership. This is an entry-level internship based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, beginning in Summer 2027.
