About The Position

The Designer III - Healthcare role involves demonstrating advanced knowledge of project complexity to contribute to the team's success by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design. The position requires developing creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions as an integral member of the design team. Responsibilities include coordinating drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents, analyzing product research, identifying material selections, and taking an active role in client and non-client design presentations. The role also involves implementing a creative approach to complete tasks within scope, schedule, and budget, reviewing work for accuracy and compliance, supporting the growth of others, expressing curiosity about design and the industry, taking ownership on tasks, participating in design reviews, and maintaining open communication with team members and consultants.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience showcasing significant work in healthcare facilities
  • Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software
  • Advanced Revit
  • Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper
  • Microsoft Office / Adobe Suite
  • Visualization tools such as Enscape and VRay
  • Physical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cutting
  • Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop
  • Environmental Analysis software such Ladybug and Climate Studio

  • Coordinates drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Analyzes product research and identifies material selections.
  • Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentations and prepares corresponding materials.
  • Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
  • Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Supports growth of others.
  • Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
  • Takes increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities.
  • Participates in design reviews, charettes and pin-ups.
  • Keeps open and proactive communication with all and is inspiring within team and designated team leader.
  • Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.
