Designer II- Healthcare
About The Position
Lionakis is seeking an experienced Designer II to join its healthcare team in the Oakland office. The healthcare team works on projects ranging from medical and health facilities to specialty clinics. The role calls for someone who can build on a basic understanding of general concepts, design, and production standards, and who is passionate about learning and professional growth. The Designer II supports project teams through BIM/CAD production and Revit assistance, contributes to basic design and presentation work, maintains project records, and follows the firm’s standards for design, quality control, and production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of architectural project experience.
- Professional work experience with healthcare projects.
- Proficiency with Revit.
- Experience with SketchUp or other graphic programs such as InDesign or Photoshop.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- HCAI/OSHPD experience.
- LEED accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Provide BIM/CAD support to project teams by interpreting and producing drawings from sketches, verbal instructions, or notes from project leads.
- Provide Revit software support to project teams.
- Demonstrate an understanding of plans, sections, and elevations, and assist with concept design for basic massing, plans, sections, elevations, and detailing concepts.
- Manage time effectively and complete tasks accurately and on schedule; demonstrate organization, attention to detail, and collaboration.
- Produce and maintain current project records in support of studio project management.
- Adhere to The Lionakis Way standards for design, quality control, and production.
- Conduct and apply project research, including basic outline-specifications coordination as directed.
- Develop presentation materials to support projects or marketing efforts.
- Assist the project team and market or studio leadership with other assigned duties.
