About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets.  Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary: 

This role is ideal for an individual with CAD training who wants to grow in the high voltage industry and who demonstrates initiative, technical ability, and a strong work ethic. This CAD Designer will create drawings using CAD software. This position will be in Alexandria, LA.

Requirements

• Training in AutoCAD 2D drafting
• Willingness to learn and grow into advanced CAD responsibilities
• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work under deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be local to Alexandria, Louisiana

Responsibilities

• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce shop and erection drawings, plans, and bills of material, based on project/equipment specifications and requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Read and interpret equipment specifications and details
• Communicate and coordinate consistently with engineers and senior designers to clarify design intent
• Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to company and industry standards and guidelines
• Iterate and issue revisions and version control
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings and plans
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews
• Issue submittal packages
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and records
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
