About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Designer/Drafter Co-Op to join its San Luis Obispo, California site for the Spring 2027 season. The assignment is intended to last six months, from January through June. The co-op will collaborate with engineers and technicians to create detailed schematics and design drawings using SolidWorks, producing accurate technical drawings and precise layouts. The role also involves manufacturing redlines, processing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), assisting with new product development systems, and supporting the engineering team to ensure high-quality designs. The position requires a currently enrolled student who can work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and who is familiar with university co-op participation requirements. Entegris does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.

Requirements

Must be a currently enrolled student.
Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from January through June.
Must be familiar with the university’s requirements for participating in a co-op program.
Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with engineers and other team members.
At least two years of experience as a drafter.
Must not require Entegris immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
Knowledge of UL508A code requirements.
Design/build experience in an industrial equipment environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers to create detailed schematics and designs using SolidWorks.
