  • Knowledge of PDM systems such as SolidWorks PDM or Vault.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models, layouts, and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Create complete drawing packages: fabrication drawings, weld details, bill of materials (BOMs), cut lists, and assembly drawings.
  • Design mechanical components including: Structural steel frames and platforms Mechanical subassemblies and mechanisms Modular and skid-based equipment systems
  • Apply ASME design codes and industry best practices when creating mechanical components, pressure-related parts, and fabricated assemblies.
  • Ensure proper tolerancing, GD&T, and manufacturability principles are incorporated.
  • Build and maintain configurable SolidWorks models, DriveWorks rules, and other design automation configurations.
  • Implement automated drawing generation workflows to improve repeatability and reduce engineering hours.
  • Assist in standardizing CAD libraries, templates, and model-based workflows.
  • Work closely with engineers to translate conceptual designs into fully detailed fabrication-ready drawings.
  • Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure designs meet practical manufacturing and assembly requirements.
