About The Position
We’re excited to welcome a Design RTW Intern to join our team this summer. This role will support the Design team across various stages of the creative process, from concept development to sample organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to a fast-paced design environment and contribute to the development of ready-to-wear collections.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Fashion Design or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
- Interest in ready-to-wear design and the fashion industry
- Ability to multitask and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard
- Frequent sitting
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping
- Advanced organizational skills and communication skills
- Office environment experience
- On-Site presence at our Los Angeles HQ
Responsibilities
- Assist with organization of print, color, and yarn libraries
- Support in updating and maintaining design boards for seasonal collections
- Assist designers with CADs, recolors, and sketching
- Help organize and track design samples
- Conduct trend and market research to support design direction
- Assist with fabric and trim organization and general studio upkeep
- Attend select design meetings and fittings when possible
